That's awesome.00;02;57;25 - 00;02;59;24Hey, Amy, I'm Dave.00;02;59;24 - 00;03;02;16Tell us a little bitabout your salvation story.00;03;02;29 - 00;03;05;28So I grew up in a Christian home,00;03;06;18 - 00;03;09;29but it wasn't reallyuntil I went to California at 1800;03;10;03 - 00;03;14;00that I experienced kind of whatOswald Chambers calls a white funeral.00;03;14;01 - 00;03;16;26This is this ideathat, you know, you're essentially like,00;03;16;29 - 00;03;18;08you're dying to yourself.00;03;18;08 - 00;03;20;23It's the death of your old life. Right?00;03;20;23 - 00;03;23;16And so, you know,I lived in the Bible belt.00;03;23;20 - 00;03;26;24I went to church, but my faith was super compartmentalized.00;03;26;24 - 00;03;28;10It was kind of like, Well,I did on Sunday,00;03;28;10 - 00;03;30;21and then I walked away, and I don't really think about it.00;03;30;21 - 00;03;35;08And so sure, when you live in L.A.,you really have to be on fire.00;03;35;08 - 00;03;38;22At least for me, I felt likeit was really hard to kind of sleepwalk00;03;38;22 - 00;03;39;07through that.00;03;39;07 - 00;03;45;08So I think being on fire,it made me really want to kind of permeate00;03;45;08 - 00;03;48;16every part of my body, like, let's let's get all the nooks and crannies00;03;48;16 - 00;03;52;12in there and get Christ to be kind ofintermingled and all of that.00;03;52;12 - 00;03;52;29Hey, man, know00;03;52;29 - 00;03;57;07that it's not just one part of my life,it's the fullness of who I am.00;03;58;00 - 00;04;00;11So I didn't have like a road to Damascus.00;04;00;11 - 00;04;04;01Conversion is like I'ma completely different person, but00;04;04;14 - 00;04;06;11there was a point that I can look back to00;04;06;11 - 00;04;08;06and say,This is really when this happened.00;04;08;06 - 00;04;10;00This was when the rubber hits the road.00;04;10;00 - 00;04;10;15And I was like,00;04;10;15 - 00;04;14;13I've got to figure out what I'm doingbecause I'm out here by myself.00;04;14;16 - 00;04;16;24I'm 18. I don't know anybody.00;04;16;24 - 00;04;18;03And it's a scary place.00;04;18;03 - 00;04;20;05And really the catalyst was anxiety.00;04;20;05 - 00;04;24;16I think that's what God used for meso that I could get to the end of myself.00;04;24;17 - 00;04;27;18Wow. I needed to reach out for God, but00;04;27;18 - 00;04;31;20I wasn't going to do that, so I got tothe end of all my own resources. Wow.00;04;32;01 - 00;04;33;17That's that's a beautiful way.00;04;33;17 - 00;04;35;26Sometimes God can use anxiety. That's wonderful.00;04;35;28 - 00;04;37;24So Amy, what are you passionate about?00;04;37;24 - 00;04;40;04And the first thing that comes to mindis authenticity.00;04;40;07 - 00;04;44;26You know, I feel like wanting that kind ofauthentic relationship, just thoughts.00;04;44;27 - 00;04;45;19It's like the human00;04;45;19 - 00;04;49;05condition of authenticity, I guesskind of the way those inner intersect.00;04;49;26 - 00;04;52;21I see that common threadjust kind of through my career00;04;53;08 - 00;04;57;03being attracted to acting, of course, you know, wanting to be authentic00;04;57;03 - 00;04;59;28and how I'm relating these peopleand their stories.00;05;00;06 - 00;05;03;14But then as a producerto just wanting to make sure00;05;03;14 - 00;05;07;14that I am connecting the audiencewith people that I'm talking to00;05;07;20 - 00;05;10;29and kind of make sure that they havethis authenticity that's shown.00;05;11;08 - 00;05;14;17So I really like telling storiesin a way that just connects people.00;05;14;17 - 00;05;17;22And really, what I'm doing now withthe bootcamp is connect.00;05;17;26 - 00;05;18;14With women00;05;18;14 - 00;05;21;20and trying to make sure that I'munderstanding where they're coming from00;05;21;20 - 00;05;24;21and that I'm realabout expectations for help00;05;24;24 - 00;05;26;20and kind of howthey can be in better health.00;05;26;20 - 00;05;30;20So and letting them know that it'snot about perfection, that's an illusion.00;05;30;20 - 00;05;31;29This is a work in progress.00;05;31;29 - 00;05;36;20And I think that relates back to our walkwith Jesus and any man down perfectly.00;05;36;20 - 00;05;39;27This is we're all kind of just workingand making progress.00;05;40;03 - 00;05;41;15Tell us more about your boot camp.00;05;42;27 - 00;05;44;17So it's an it's00;05;44;17 - 00;05;48;27an online boot camp, and we workwith ladies to just try to help00;05;48;27 - 00;05;53;06them have better health, just with betternutritious eating and exercise.00;05;53;07 - 00;05;56;12We're more encouragingof kind of where they are and not like,00;05;56;12 - 00;05;59;08you need to be hereor look this way, but more.00;05;59;17 - 00;06;00;18How do you feel?00;06;00;18 - 00;06;03;11You want more energy. You want to have better health.00;06;03;12 - 00;06;05;02Here are some ways that you can do that.00;06;05;02 - 00;06;08;19And today was a train wreck of a daythat's going to happen.00;06;08;19 - 00;06;10;01It went off the rails.00;06;10;01 - 00;06;13;19Here's how you can get back on track, and here's how you can give yourself grace00;06;13;28 - 00;06;17;02because youyou deserve to give yourself some grace.00;06;17;02 - 00;06;18;19You're not going to be perfect.00;06;18;19 - 00;06;23;02I actually find it's such an amazingministry for me to pray with ladies.00;06;23;02 - 00;06;25;01Wonderful to pray for ladies.00;06;25;01 - 00;06;28;02Some of them are in a place where theythey feel like00;06;28;02 - 00;06;31;03they're at the end of their rope, and I know what that feels like. Wow.00;06;31;04 - 00;06;33;12So how could someone sign up for thatif they wanted to?00;06;33;21 - 00;06;37;25That is trim boot camp dot com so they canjust go online and take a look at that.00;06;38;12 - 00;06;39;05Very good.00;06;39;05 - 00;06;40;06Awesome.00;06;40;06 - 00;06;43;08Hey, quick sidebar, have you watched the chosen?00;06;43;08 - 00;06;45;15Have you been able to see that yet?00;06;45;15 - 00;06;47;20Yes, and it's so wonderful.00;06;47;21 - 00;06;49;27I've really loved it at first,it kind of bothered me.00;06;49;27 - 00;06;53;15I will be honest because I just thought, this is not forever.00;06;54;04 - 00;06;56;20When we talk about authenticity,I was like,00;06;56;20 - 00;06;57;27they weren't talking like this.00;06;57;27 - 00;07;00;06No one was using these kind of phrases.00;07;00;06 - 00;07;04;26And so at first it irritated me was, this is this is a historically accurate,00;07;04;26 - 00;07;05;13you know?00;07;05;17 - 00;07;08;15But then my husband said,You have to think of it like the message.00;07;08;21 - 00;07;11;23And as soon as you said that, I went, Yep,you're right, this is the message,00;07;11;23 - 00;07;12;20and that's awesome.00;07;12;20 - 00;07;16;28And this makes it more relatablefor people making something that they can00;07;17;06 - 00;07;21;04kind of understand and kind of just levelsthe playing field a little bit.00;07;21;04 - 00;07;24;25So then that the real messageand heart and intent gets communicated00;07;24;25 - 00;07;25;21and that I loved it.00;07;25;21 - 00;07;26;26Yes, I get that.00;07;26;26 - 00;07;27;19I totally get that.00;07;27;19 - 00;07;28;22Eugene Peterson.00;07;28;22 - 00;07;32;14He's I love the message, but there are moments00;07;32;14 - 00;07;35;09that you have to make surethat it matches up and looks,00;07;35;27 - 00;07;39;07you know, like it's supposed to look likeit usually always does for me00;07;39;07 - 00;07;40;29and just takes me a minuteto figure it out.00;07;40;29 - 00;07;45;07I'm a little bit slower, so I thoughtI thought the chosen was good.00;07;45;10 - 00;07;48;19My favorite one was the woman at the well, that's always my favorite story00;07;48;19 - 00;07;49;06in the way they did.00;07;49;06 - 00;07;51;12That,I thought was pretty interesting. So.00;07;52;00 - 00;07;54;19So what is God calling you to stop?00;07;55;11 - 00;07;59;03So for me, it's self-reliance and so.00;07;59;07 - 00;07;59;24Interesting.00;07;59;24 - 00;08;03;21And that's probably why God used anxietyand I had to get into myself, right?00;08;03;22 - 00;08;06;19That's it's it's a sore spot for me.00;08;07;07 - 00;08;09;08I like to research.I like to problem solve.00;08;09;08 - 00;08;12;00I like to get in thereand kind of fix it myself.00;08;12;11 - 00;08;15;17And so my first instinct isI can tell my own problems.00;08;15;17 - 00;08;17;06I'm going to get in thereand figure it out.00;08;17;06 - 00;08;20;07And I consume informationand I'm very analytical.00;08;20;07 - 00;08;22;04So it's like,I want to get in there and do it all.00;08;22;04 - 00;08;25;10And it's I have access to00;08;25;10 - 00;08;28;04the ultimate problem solver, 24-7.00;08;28;10 - 00;08;33;19Yet my first instinct is to rely on melike, I'm going to Google it instead of00;08;33;19 - 00;08;37;10go to the Bible, which is basicallythis Adobe space to Google, right?00;08;37;11 - 00;08;38;14Well, put. Yes.00;08;40;02 - 00;08;41;13So I have a 19 year old.00;08;41;13 - 00;08;43;09She struggles with anxiety, too.00;08;43;09 - 00;08;46;24And so like these, these teenagersthat are going through00;08;46;24 - 00;08;50;08all the social stuff that weI didn't grow up with.00;08;50;21 - 00;08;54;15How would you talk to them to a 19 yearold or 20 year old you?00;08;54;19 - 00;08;58;17Well, first of all, that perfectionis an illusion that's not real.00;08;58;25 - 00;09;00;10You shouldn't even aim for that.00;09;00;10 - 00;09;03;22We're really trying to aim forfor connecting with God,00;09;03;24 - 00;09;07;22living for him and loving othersand telling others about Jesus.00;09;07;22 - 00;09;10;15And just, you know, it's progress. It's just trying.00;09;10;15 - 00;09;11;23That is that trajectory.00;09;11;23 - 00;09;14;21It's not like you've achieved thisand you need to be perfect.00;09;14;28 - 00;09;18;03And actually, that it's in this took a while00;09;18;04 - 00;09;22;04took me to be at the agethat I am now to understand that00;09;22;04 - 00;09;26;20actually weakness is more attractiveand being real is more attractive.00;09;26;25 - 00;09;28;26Being authentic is more attractedto people00;09;28;26 - 00;09;32;15because people can't relate to youif you're perfect.00;09;32;21 - 00;09;34;02I mean, no, it's not real.00;09;34;02 - 00;09;36;27But even if it was, that's not attractive to people.00;09;36;27 - 00;09;40;29People don't want to followJesus because you're perfect.00;09;41;08 - 00;09;44;15People will want to followJesus because you're struggling,00;09;44;15 - 00;09;48;27because you're imperfect, because you knowwhere to go to be made whole.00;09;48;28 - 00;09;50;04Right? Absolutely.00;09;50;04 - 00;09;55;19So I would definitely say, you know, don'tdon't aim for perfection and then don't00;09;55;19 - 00;09;59;22compare your behind the scenesreal to everyone else's highlight reel.00;10;00;11 - 00;10;03;10You know, social media is all it'sall the highlight reel.00;10;03;10 - 00;10;04;27It's like your sizzle reel, right?00;10;04;27 - 00;10;07;02Yeah, all your best stuff out there.00;10;07;09 - 00;10;10;25But then you're looking at all of thatthat you know, you're behind the scenes00;10;10;25 - 00;10;13;13stuffall the times you flubbed line or that you00;10;13;24 - 00;10;16;19that you messed upor that you were hitting your mark or00;10;16;27 - 00;10;20;17or that just real stuff happenedthat was really hard and terrible.00;10;20;21 - 00;10;24;00And you're comparing thatwith their best highlights.00;10;24;01 - 00;10;25;13I mean, it's not really fair.00;10;25;13 - 00;10;26;08That's so true.00;10;26;08 - 00;10;28;01And that happens all the time, too.00;10;28;01 - 00;10;31;02Say, OK, I'm going to ask you the oppositeof what I just ask you, Amy.00;10;31;02 - 00;10;33;05What is God calling you to start?00;10;33;05 - 00;10;36;20OK, so I feel like in the same veinwhere I'm quick00;10;36;20 - 00;10;40;07to just jump inand be the driver of the vehicle.00;10;40;22 - 00;10;43;24I feel like what I need to start doingmore is praying first.00;10;44;02 - 00;10;47;02So and the reason why is because wanting00;10;47;02 - 00;10;50;11to learn things and learning and readingand all that stuff is great, right?00;10;50;11 - 00;10;52;24I think, you know, amassing the knowledgeand consuming all.00;10;52;24 - 00;10;54;02That's awesome.00;10;54;07 - 00;10;55;25But where is it growing from?00;10;55;25 - 00;10;59;22Is it growing out of a self relianceor is it growing out of something00;10;59;22 - 00;11;00;26God centered?00;11;00;26 - 00;11;03;18And so I feel like praying first00;11;03;23 - 00;11;07;05would help to make surethat my postures in the right position00;11;07;05 - 00;11;12;10so that it would set the tonefor being God centered and it would take00;11;12;10 - 00;11;15;24the emphasis off me being the onethat's in power to solve my problem.00;11;15;26 - 00;11;18;09I love that. That is wonderful advice. Wow.00;11;18;28 - 00;11;21;13So kind of going along with that,00;11;21;13 - 00;11;25;01how do you guard yourself against sinagainst falling against?00;11;25;10 - 00;11;27;11I think you've kind of named it throughout00;11;27;11 - 00;11;29;16all everything we've already talked about.00;11;29;16 - 00;11;32;15But what are some things that you useto kind of help you get through it?00;11;32;26 - 00;11;37;07Well, you know, being a student of God'sword is is a good one.00;11;37;07 - 00;11;40;12I'm in Bible Fellowship and I love it,and I feel like00;11;40;12 - 00;11;43;16we have this instructionmanual for life, right?00;11;43;16 - 00;11;45;02So using that?00;11;45;02 - 00;11;46;08That's a great one,00;11;46;08 - 00;11;50;18then I think the other one would beaccountability, having relationships that00;11;50;18 - 00;11;55;10are ongoing with people who are honestand have God honoring relationships,00;11;55;14 - 00;11;59;02they can speak into your livesand see things that you can't always see.00;11;59;02 - 00;12;01;24And so making sure that you havethose people helps.00;12;01;24 - 00;12;05;19And I and I think for my part,it has to be I can't be above reproach,00;12;05;19 - 00;12;05;26right?00;12;05;26 - 00;12;09;10I have to be willing to knowthat I'm going to mess up.00;12;09;11 - 00;12;12;06And, you know, we're all sinners. We all fall short.00;12;12;06 - 00;12;16;06So you can't be so enamored with yourselfto think that you're above sin00;12;16;06 - 00;12;18;09because that's exactlywhere the enemy wants us.00;12;18;13 - 00;12;22;07As soon as we see this, we think that it'snot going to happen to us.00;12;22;13 - 00;12;23;18That's when it will.00;12;23;18 - 00;12;26;17He will strikebecause pride comes before the fall,00;12;26;18 - 00;12;30;06so I think you have to be ableto be spoken to too.00;12;30;10 - 00;12;32;10Absolutely. Amen.00;12;32;10 - 00;12;35;18You know, from time to time, we all haveto have difficult conversations00;12;35;18 - 00;12;37;10and that can really be trying.00;12;37;10 - 00;12;40;21What do you do to make sure thata difficult conversation stays productive?00;12;40;26 - 00;12;44;28So for this, I think I have to reallyI have to start00;12;44;28 - 00;12;49;17by differentiating from where I amand where God is in the situation.00;12;49;17 - 00;12;53;06And what I mean by thatis I coming from a place of God's love?00;12;53;18 - 00;12;57;21Or am I operating out of my own kindof shallow pool of humanness, right?00;12;57;23 - 00;12;59;03Because that's there,00;12;59;03 - 00;13;00;10and that's going to get in the way00;13;00;10 - 00;13;03;12and competefor coming from a God centered place.00;13;03;13 - 00;13;06;21And so I've heard it said beforethat you'll never look into the eyes00;13;06;21 - 00;13;08;21of someone that God doesn't love. Amen.00;13;08;21 - 00;13;12;15And I think that's a great mindsetand starting point for anything00;13;12;15 - 00;13;15;18because there's no way to havea productive conversation, to have a God00;13;15;18 - 00;13;18;21honoring conversation, particularly a difficult line00;13;18;21 - 00;13;22;23or a confrontational onewithout having that be the first step.00;13;22;28 - 00;13;26;20So it's just that rememberingand just kind of reminding yourself00;13;26;20 - 00;13;29;17that that person you're talking tois made in the image of God,00;13;29;22 - 00;13;32;14and he loves that personjust as much as he loves you.00;13;32;22 - 00;13;36;27I think if you can start there, then that's a great, great starting point.00;13;37;07 - 00;13;38;23Actually, man, that's beautiful there.00;13;38;23 - 00;13;42;07A character in the Bible that you relateto more than others, maybe,00;13;42;07 - 00;13;44;14or someone that you kind of goto every once in a while.00;13;44;24 - 00;13;46;27You know, rehab comes to mind a lot.00;13;46;27 - 00;13;49;21And the reason I like heris not necessarily because I relate to her00;13;49;29 - 00;13;52;11or Mary Magdalene, but those two come to mind most00;13;52;25 - 00;13;57;25because I feel like now more than everthis this last season.00;13;57;25 - 00;14;01;22With all this stuffgoing on, I felt very alone.00;14;01;22 - 00;14;04;05I just felt like I was goingagainst the grain all the time.00;14;04;06 - 00;14;08;12I mean, I feel like I was never, nevergoing the same direction as anyone else.00;14;08;13 - 00;14;11;18It was just like, no matter what communityI was in or whatever, it was like,00;14;11;20 - 00;14;13;24Oh, I kind of I see things different.00;14;13;24 - 00;14;16;11I feel like maybe we've lost sight00;14;16;11 - 00;14;19;20of what's important and what we're doingand how to comes from this00;14;19;20 - 00;14;20;14place of love and.00;14;20;14 - 00;14;23;12And so it was kind ofa lonely season, really.00;14;23;13 - 00;14;28;14And so this idea of in really the chosenkind of talks about this, this idea00;14;28;14 - 00;14;31;22of doing it differently, seeing thingsdifferently , being different.00;14;32;00 - 00;14;36;11And when I think about the Bibleand and back in those days,00;14;36;11 - 00;14;38;29the Pharisees and all of thatand it was different,00;14;38;29 - 00;14;41;04Jesus is differentthe way desert is different.00;14;41;04 - 00;14;44;29We're never going to understand how he'sgoing to do, and we can't begin to think00;14;44;29 - 00;14;48;17that we know how he's going to intercedeor how he's going to act.00;14;48;17 - 00;14;53;22And so I feel like Rahabwas totally unique and different choice00;14;53;22 - 00;14;57;01for how to get in thereand kind of save the day.00;14;57;01 - 00;15;01;07And so we would have thought thatit would be someone that was in this high,00;15;01;07 - 00;15;05;14powerful position or that they would bethe most holy of holies.00;15;05;19 - 00;15;09;13And yet God got in there all the timeand use these people who you would00;15;09;13 - 00;15;13;18never have thought would be the onesthat could be used and would be used.00;15;13;18 - 00;15;14;09And so I don't know.00;15;14;09 - 00;15;17;02I like that that ideathat it's different than you think.00;15;17;21 - 00;15;19;18That's amazing. I do, too.00;15;19;18 - 00;15;24;15God always surprises me with those songsand who he uses, even when he uses me.00;15;24;17 - 00;15;25;29And there you go.00;15;25;29 - 00;15;28;26Tell me about Tell me aboutsome of the trophies behind you there.00;15;28;27 - 00;15;30;03Oh gosh.00;15;30;07 - 00;15;33;02There are some, some Emmys couple tallies,00;15;33;02 - 00;15;36;26and there's some awardsfrom when I worked at Katy.00;15;36;26 - 00;15;40;05So those were television based awards.00;15;40;12 - 00;15;42;18You really like talking about yourself, don't you?00;15;42;24 - 00;15;43;17No, she does.00;15;44;22 - 00;15;45;09It's easy.00;15;45;09 - 00;15;48;26It's like. Oh, no, I'm sorry about that.00;15;48;26 - 00;15;51;15I saw I was like,Oh, I better take that one back.00;15;51;18 - 00;15;52;20I'm sorry.00;15;52;20 - 00;15;54;26Hey, you know, it's pretty impressive.00;15;55;10 - 00;15;56;26Yeah. That's amazing.00;15;56;26 - 00;15;59;11Any chance we'll see more local travelor anytime soon?00;15;59;15 - 00;16;00;05I don't know.00;16;00;05 - 00;16;03;16You know, there was a time there where I felt like00;16;03;16 - 00;16;07;13I started to kind of realizeI wanted to pivot a little bit.00;16;07;13 - 00;16;11;17I mean, the whole purpose of wanting tothe local traveler was I felt like these00;16;11;17 - 00;16;15;01mom and pop shopswere not getting enough marketing00;16;15;01 - 00;16;16;22because they just didn'thave the money to do it.00;16;16;22 - 00;16;20;17And it was hard to compete with Wal-Martand McDonald's and against those places00;16;20;23 - 00;16;22;15love those places too. Right.00;16;22;15 - 00;16;24;03But there's, you know, you want,00;16;24;03 - 00;16;26;11you want the mom and pop placesto survive as well.00;16;26;11 - 00;16;30;19And so what really was the catalyst forthat was just wanting to make sure00;16;30;19 - 00;16;33;28that those people had a voiceand that we could invest in people00;16;33;28 - 00;16;37;04in our own community and really helpkeep those businesses afloat.00;16;37;04 - 00;16;39;19So that was greatand that went on for several seasons.00;16;39;19 - 00;16;41;15And then I thought, you know,00;16;41;15 - 00;16;44;29I really feel like we don't concentrateenough on.00;16;45;02 - 00;16;46;09The good stuff out there,00;16;46;09 - 00;16;49;08and so then I thought, I want to do thisshow called Common Good.00;16;49;19 - 00;16;52;27And so I started to really kind of worktowards that before I decided to00;16;53;03 - 00;16;54;12take a break altogether.00;16;54;12 - 00;16;57;19But if I were to come back,I'd want to do something about that.00;16;57;19 - 00;17;03;22Just the stories of of again, peopleand being the kind of human condition00;17;03;22 - 00;17;05;01and where we're all connecting00;17;05;01 - 00;17;09;02and where there's goodness outthere, it's just not amplified as much.00;17;09;02 - 00;17;11;13So I just shined on it.00;17;11;20 - 00;17;15;01And so we hear about all the negativeand all the bad stuff that's going00;17;15;01 - 00;17;18;03on, but there's so much more goodthan we realize.00;17;18;09 - 00;17;19;24So true.00;17;19;24 - 00;17;21;07So I've got another question for you00;17;21;07 - 00;17;24;26what are the most important nuts and boltslife lesson you can give me.00;17;25;09 - 00;17;27;23About the big questions?00;17;27;23 - 00;17;29;21I'm not sure that I have like.00;17;29;21 - 00;17;31;02You got five minutes or so.00;17;33;07 - 00;17;36;07But the thing that came to the gatecomes to mind.00;17;36;07 - 00;17;37;15That's at least recent, right?00;17;37;15 - 00;17;40;26Something recent that I feel likeit's been a good lesson is just00;17;41;26 - 00;17;43;28this idea that we need to stay humble00;17;44;17 - 00;17;48;18on four as as much as we doknow, both on an individual level00;17;48;18 - 00;17;49;25and just as a group right?00;17;49;25 - 00;17;53;20And even as a group, as Christians, there's so much more that we don't know.00;17;53;21 - 00;17;56;22And so we kind of have to approach thingsfrom that posture.00;17;56;22 - 00;18;02;13I feel like we we we have this sourcefor divine inspiration and all knowledge.00;18;02;13 - 00;18;04;17And so we don't needto feel hopeless about it.00;18;04;27 - 00;18;07;15But I think we need to know thatwe don't know it00;18;07;15 - 00;18;10;24and we need to remain humbleand we need to admit that we don't know.00;18;10;27 - 00;18;15;05So because humility means thatyou're not impressed so much with yourself00;18;15;15 - 00;18;19;22and you're relying on another power, it'snot in your own power.00;18;19;22 - 00;18;23;28And so you know you're more likelyto turn to God when you really understand00;18;24;03 - 00;18;27;12kind of how small you arein the grand scheme of things.00;18;27;21 - 00;18;30;20Plus that whole knowledge thingthat really didn't work out so well00;18;30;20 - 00;18;31;10for Adam and Eve.00;18;31;10 - 00;18;34;05So I figure, you know. And there you go.00;18;34;17 - 00;18;35;21Good point. True.00;18;36;22 - 00;18;37;14So is there00;18;37;14 - 00;18;40;22anything you just want to sharewith this leadership wise00;18;40;22 - 00;18;44;16or maybe adviceabout being a mom or family anything?00;18;44;16 - 00;18;48;02You just want to jump inand tell us some good insight on.00;18;48;05 - 00;18;50;15At first, when you know, when I was thinking00;18;50;15 - 00;18;52;19about Christian leadership,I was really hesitant.00;18;52;23 - 00;18;53;24This, you know, I was like,00;18;53;24 - 00;18;57;00I don't know ifif I'm really the right person to do this.00;18;57;01 - 00;19;01;05So but as I sat with it longer, I realizedthat we're all a little Christ, right?00;19;01;05 - 00;19;03;03That's Christians, these little Christ.00;19;03;03 - 00;19;07;28And so we're all really called lead, andwe're all called to lead others to Christ.00;19;08;02 - 00;19;10;07And that is our main. That's the main mission, right?00;19;10;07 - 00;19;13;00So when I thought about thatand I thought that, OK,00;19;13;00 - 00;19;15;23and we're all part of the body,we all have different roles00;19;15;23 - 00;19;17;21and different waysthat we're going to do that.00;19;17;21 - 00;19;21;23But collectively and individually,we need to be calling others to Christ.00;19;21;23 - 00;19;23;28We need to be leading others to Christ.00;19;24;00 - 00;19;24;24Amen.00;19;24;24 - 00;19;27;13And it's going to look differentthan the way that the world00;19;27;13 - 00;19;28;24would think of leadership, right?00;19;28;24 - 00;19;30;14You're thinking Jesus servant leader.00;19;30;14 - 00;19;33;26I mean, this is totally likethe upside down thing.00;19;33;26 - 00;19;36;10And so so when I thought about itlike that, I felt more comfortable.00;19;36;10 - 00;19;39;22And I think that's why this podcastis so valuable for your listeners, too.00;19;39;22 - 00;19;43;24Is that because we're all called elitelearning how to do that effectively00;19;44;01 - 00;19;47;06and learning how to do that froma place of love is so important.00;19;47;14 - 00;19;49;15Amen. 100%. Amen.00;19;49;25 - 00;19;51;01So I know your time important.00;19;51;01 - 00;19;53;00I've got one last question for you, Amy.00;19;53;00 - 00;19;55;02What's your biggest praise for God?00;19;55;02 - 00;19;58;27My biggest praise for Godwould be that he turns everything.00;19;58;28 - 00;20;02;20All the mistakes, all the mistakes, all the things that you would think were00;20;02;24 - 00;20;06;06were bad or negativeand to good for his purpose.00;20;06;16 - 00;20;08;08And so I just think that's really amazing.00;20;08;08 - 00;20;11;16When you think about it, it's kind of thisthis amazingly freeing00;20;11;16 - 00;20;14;12feeling to know that nothing is lost.00;20;14;20 - 00;20;16;11Nothing is hopeless.00;20;16;11 - 00;20;17;06When you're a believer,00;20;17;06 - 00;20;20;27you're walking in his will, he's going toturn all your mourning into dancing.00;20;20;27 - 00;20;23;09You know, he's going to finishthe good work that you started in you.00;20;23;18 - 00;20;25;24It's always going to be a win00;20;25;24 - 00;20;29;17because he can bestow a crown of beautyfrom ashes, right?00;20;29;17 - 00;20;30;01So, yes.00;20;30;01 - 00;20;32;26So there's nothingthat's lost there.
